First time in months I've logged on here and I see this post... lol
Glad to say that I have moved on with my life and I love living completely CULT FREE!!!
Some posts are just triggers and so I try to avoid the negativity when at all possible, and scan every once in a while (like today) just to see whats up, if anything...
My guess would be that most move on and are living happy productive lives away from the Watchtower!! I seriously doubt some of the big time posters went back into the cult, some lurkers may have, but to be FULLY AWAKE and go back in??? How is it even possible???

it was announced at our clam that there "was no shipment of the october study editions of the watchtower" and that they were asking if people could just use electronic or make their own copies.. is this just happening in ohio, or did you hear the same thing?.

we all know how much the watchtower abhors "higher education" and that apparently jehovah thinks it is a big waste of time.

at least that is their official stance.

it might come as a shock to you that this month they have started a campaign drive to actually recruit jws who have higher education, specifically those who have legal training.. with all the law suits against them for creating an environment that is friendly to paedophiles, it is thus no wonder that they are in need of solicitors, especially those who are sympathetic towards the cult.. talk about hypocrisy!.

i'm not proud of the fact that it took me over 50 years to realized what the organization really was and to finally leave it.

not proud at all, i feel pretty stupid.

however i didn't lose my children.

You son feels safe enough to tell you how he really feels even though it makes you feel like shite. At least there is communication, albeit painful at the present moment. Give them all time, time to trust and see that you are genuinely out. We are all victims of this horrible cult that really does destroy families on so many levels. I would say this is just a stage of rehabilitation for your son and yourself. Give things time and keep talking things through--- keep your wits about you and remember, kids will say some stuff that cuts like a knife... but we are the adults and can handle it. When the proper time comes, explain yourself once again and give it time to gain back any respect you may have lost. If after a good deal of time--- you do need to protect yourself from overly negative comment and toxic relationships... so, speak your peace, live your words, and concentrate on healing and making yourself a better person. You should not have to suffer with guilt of past mistakes while under mind control. The fact that you finally came out, and at such a great sacrifice speaks volumes!

LOVE THIS ANSWER!!! lol On a serious note, I agree with the comments on the time and money in making "kid-vids" not much there as compared to the emotionally manipulative adult videos... the mix of sappy, cheesy and oh soooo culty deserve all the attention. Wonder what will become of all those Caleb and Sofia picture spots they put up in all the assembly halls?? hahaa
